Having a safe route to school has been in the making for the past 3 years. Last year, Gubbi Labs prepared a report on “Evolving Bicycle Friendly Street Network in Jayanagar, Bangalore” at the instance of Directorate of Urban Land Transport (DULT).
The proposal was accepted and has been finally realized by the sincere efforts of BBMP. The bicycle friendly streets will be dedicated to the people of Jayanagar on September 22nd.
RAC-F has planned for a week long campaign in schools and colleges of Jayanagar, inviting people to participate in this celebration of what promises to be the beginning of creating many more bicycle friendly localities in Bangalore.
